We’re builders, not resellers. Every gate we sell is drawn, cut, welded, and installed by our own team.

Born and raised in Kalamazoo

Our owner grew up right here in Kalamazoo and has been building things for as long as he can remember. He married his high school sweetheart, and today their two kids go to school here and march in color guard and band. This town is home, and our reputation here matters to us.

He started Great Lakes Gates in 2023 because he loves what a gate does for a property. You pull up to a big, beautiful gate, and the whole home looks finished, secure, and one of a kind. Just as important, it’s a real safety net for the family inside.

Since then we’ve built and installed dozens of gates for homes, farms, and businesses across Michigan and the Midwest, and fixed plenty of other companies’ gates along the way.
